As the cadet corps affiliated Canadian Forces unit, the 30th Field Regiment, RCA. The regiment provides volunteers to work with 2317’s officers to help in cadet training and corps operations. The cadet corps participate in ceremonial support such as Remembrance Day on Parliament Hill.

Legions throughout Canada sponsor youth programs such as cadet corps. The Legions goal is to teach the youth the appreciation for teamwork, duty, citizenship and most importantly, Remembrance. The cadet corps assist with poppy sales, Remembrance Day parade, and other events.
