Parents Guide

Welcome form the Commanding Officer

Parents, Guardians, Cadets,

I want to personally welcome you and your family to the Canadian Cadet Movement, Canada’s premier youth organization and specifically to 2317-30th Field Regiment Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps Ottawa’s oldest Army Cadet Unit.

As a former army cadet, I can tell you that the opportunities afforded to a cadet are endless. The staff and volunteers of 2317-30th FD RCACC will do their very best to ensure the success of every single cadet, including yours.

The transition into this new phase of your family dynamic will be fast-paced, exciting, a bit confusing, and a lot of fun. You will experience a new source of pride as you become part of a larger, nation-wide family.

This Parent Guide will help you through the first year of your cadet’s life. In it, you will find information about our Corps, How the program works, Cadet Responsibilities, Communications, Corps Contact Information and how you can help the program.

I look forward to working with you and your family. Please feel free to approach and engage myself or any of the Corps staff!

UBIQUE!

Captain Allan Larrett, CD
